Privacy Policy
Your artwork stays on your device. Here is what Sketch Bloom does collect, why, and the choices you have.
Developer and data controller: Anton Fedorov
App: Sketch Bloom for iPhone and iPad
Contact: support@excalibolt.com
1. Drawings and local generation
Sketch Bloom stores your sketches, paintings, object layers, descriptions, creative preferences, and gallery information in the app’s storage on your device. Image generation and automatic sketch description run locally. The app does not upload this content to us, Google Analytics, or a cloud AI service. You do not need an account.
You control exports using the system share sheet. If you choose to save or send a painting through another app or service, that recipient’s privacy practices apply. Device backups may contain app documents according to your Apple backup settings; downloaded model files are excluded from iCloud backup.
2. Optional usage analytics
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google, to understand feature use, download and preparation failures, creation flow, and broad performance patterns. Usage analytics is enabled by default on ordinary physical-device launches. You can turn it off at any time in the app’s Settings → Usage analytics. Creating artwork does not require analytics.
Our custom events describe tutorial progress, opening and starting a drawing, the first accepted painting in an editor visit, tool downloads and preparation, selected style and engine, some layer actions, export/share outcomes, and broad failure stages. Parameters are limited to categories such as style, engine, outcome, and duration ranges.
Firebase also collects an app-instance identifier, automatic lifecycle and engagement events, and standard metadata such as device model, operating system, app version, language, and approximate geography derived from network information. This is not anonymous or zero-data collection. Analytics may include product interaction, device identifiers, coarse location, performance, and diagnostic data associated with an app installation.
We do not send drawings, paintings, descriptions, automatic captions, document titles, file paths, drawing or layer identifiers, coordinates, raw errors, or custom user identifiers as analytics events. The app disables advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, and automatic screen reporting. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app advertising tracking, and we do not sell personal data.
Switching analytics off changes the collection setting and stops new app events. It does not recall events already sent or constitute a server-side deletion request; data queued by the SDK before disabling may still be handled by Google. Retention is governed by the app’s Google Analytics configuration and Google’s applicable terms; aggregated reports may have different retention periods. We do not claim a fixed retention period that has not been verified in that configuration.
Read Firebase Privacy and Security, Google Analytics data collection information, and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Planned crash reporting for the first App Store release
The first App Store release is planned to include Sentry, provided by Functional Software, Inc., for error and crash reporting. Sentry is not integrated in the current development build. When enabled in that release, diagnostic reports will be used to identify failures and improve app reliability. They may include exception information, stack traces, app and operating-system versions, device model, technical context, and an installation identifier. These reports are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
The intended configuration excludes Session Replay, screen recordings, screenshots, profiling, and performance tracing. Drawings, generated images, typed descriptions, automatic captions, document names, and private file paths must not be attached to diagnostic reports. Default personal-information collection will remain disabled, with filtering of report contents before transmission. The Usage analytics switch described above controls Firebase; it should not be assumed to control Sentry. Final diagnostic controls and this policy will be checked against the shipped integration before release.
Sentry may process diagnostic information in its configured hosting region and retain it according to the project’s retention settings and applicable terms. For privacy requests, contact support@excalibolt.com. See Sentry’s Privacy Policy.
3. Downloads and this website
Initial setup downloads model files over HTTPS from our Cloudflare-hosted delivery domain, easy-draw-storage.excalibolt.com. These requests do not include your artwork or descriptions. Cloudflare processes technical request information, including IP address, request URL, timestamps, and protocol/browser or app information, to deliver files and operate and protect its network.
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. We do not add website analytics, advertising scripts, cookies, contact forms, or third-party fonts. Cloudflare may process technical request data and retain operational or security logs under its service terms and retention settings. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
4. Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to attach. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot, and handle privacy requests. Only send artwork or diagnostics you are comfortable sharing. We retain correspondence as needed to resolve your request and meet applicable legal obligations, then delete it when no longer necessary.
5. Purposes, legal bases, and sharing
We process information to provide requested features and support, understand and improve app reliability, secure file delivery and the website, and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, legal bases include performing our agreement with you for requested services, legitimate interests in responding to support and securing the service, compliance with law, and consent where required for analytics or similar technologies. You may withdraw analytics permission through Settings.
Relevant recipients include Google for app analytics, Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, and providers involved in receiving and answering your email. Apple processes App Store distribution and any backups or shares you choose under its own policies. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect legal rights. Service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, subject to applicable transfer safeguards.
6. Your choices and rights
- Turn Usage analytics off in the app’s Settings.
- Delete individual drawings in the gallery. Deleting the app removes its local data; exports and device backups must be managed separately. Export favorites before uninstalling.
- Email support@excalibolt.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or to withdraw consent where these rights apply. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
We cannot retrieve drawings that exist only on your device. Analytics is not linked to a named account in the app, so we may be unable to identify particular analytics records from your email alone. We will explain what can be located and what verification is reasonably needed. Do not send device identifiers unless requested through a suitable support process.
7. Children and security
Sketch Bloom is a general creative app, not a service specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us to request appropriate action.
We use HTTPS for delivery and rely on iOS storage protections and service-provider safeguards. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep backups of artwork you value.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate through the app, website, or App Store information. Privacy questions: support@excalibolt.com.
